ANALYTICAL CUBISM WORKSHOP
WORKSHOP  OUTLINE: Bring an image/picture of either a portrait or landscape.  (something figurative or representational) From observation we will then  abstract it through analytical cubism (not synthetic cubism which is  the other avenue of cubism. Analytical Cubism is viewing something or  someone from multiple viewpoints and basically drawing the person or  thing over and over on top of itself until you get lots of lines of the  same object but from different viewpoints overlapping each other.  You may reference artists such as Picasso, George Braque and Duchamp's  Nude Descending a StairCase for further examples of this kind of work.
WORKSHOP FEE: $50
SUPPLY  LIST: Variety of paint brushes, acrylic paint, canvas any size but not  too small please, palette ,cup/jar for washing off brushes, bring a  picture of a portrait or landscape. (Hot tip: Pick  something meaningful to you. Just makes the art better.)
